Team building can be defined as the development of a team spirit and camaraderie between groups of people when tested in a foreign environment. The concept was developed so that office colleagues are removed from their enclosed work environment and placed into new environments where everyone is equal. In doing this, it allows usually hidden traits and dynamics to emerge thus contributing to the growth of personal and team development.

Team building  allows management and team members to realise, experience and correct shortcomings and potential problems in a stress free and more adaptable environment. It also,

Different environments produce different reactions from person to person. In the past it was normal to create unusually difficult circumstances in an attempt to get the members of a team to work together in order to overcome the obstacles. While this form of team building achieved a moderate success, due to its physical demands, it also had a tendency to create rifts between physically stronger and weaker colleagues. Safety was also a concern in this method of team building and often individuals were injured.

Beach Sports have been recognised as some of the best tools for team building. We can run a variety of sports and can cater from 4 players up to 18 players in each activity. Beach Volleyball is our speciality and we highly recommend this activity as it is a non-contact sport and played on soft sand, there are no worries of injuries. It is a great sport to build good inter-office relationships as it has an appeal to everyone. Beach volleyball is a great way to bring your "Rainbow staff" together as everybody will enjoy it, whether they are young or old, fit or not so fit, black or white, male or female or any shape or size. Due to it being a non-contact activity, it allows the ladies in the office to participate without fear of being hurt by over competitive men.

Pococks Indoor Beach Volleyball is an indoor beach volleyball arena with four indoor beach volleyball courts. We developed our team building division to fill a necessary niche in the market where we can help people create a positive and productive work environment for employees and those around them. Our Facilities for team building include the following:

• 4 x Indoor beach volleyball courts
• Kitchen serving light meals, full meals or platters
• Spacious, fully licensed sports bar
• Large screen in bar area for presentations should there be more than 30 people (up to 120)
• 36m² outdoor patio with braai (a spit braai can be arranged)
• Large male & female change rooms & showers
• Billiards Table, soccer table, poker room & Darts Board

Our Activities for team building are not limited to beach volleyball. We do offer other team building activities and we can structure each team building day around your needs. We are also not afraid to do something new and will include almost any new idea at your suggestion. Following is a list of our current team building activities:

Optional Extra Activities due to demand, we have included the following optional activities. Although not part of our day-to-day opperation, we have formed quality alliances with specialists in their various fields and we are able to offer the following activities at an additional cost.
